About this organisation
Sydney Dogs and Cats Home is Sydney’s only registered charity pound facility. The Home has been taking care of Sydney’s lost, abandoned and neglected pets since 1946.
Servicing 8 councils in the Greater Sydney Area, we currently open our doors and hearts to more than 3,000 pets each year.
The first shelter in NSW to become a member of Getting 2 Zero, a movement which aims to achieve zero euthanasia of all healthy and treatable cats and dogs, Sydney Dogs and Cats Home doesn’t place a time limit on any animal awaiting adoption.
