About this organisation

We are a group of dedicated volunteers who are committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of our native wildlife on Kangaroo Island, South Australia.

Every day we have injured and orphaned animals come into care for a large number of reasons. The main reason is car accidents. When our wildlife is hit on the roads, often the joeys survive the accident and are in need of care. No matter the time of day, or night, our volunteers are out whether it is sunshine or rain to rescue those in need.

Our volunteers have been giving their time for years but the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Network was officially established in 2015.

Our aim is to provide carers with the guidance, knowledge and experience to rescue, raise and rehabilitate our injured, sick and orphaned wildlife.
